Seven Championship Events Across Ten Rounds
Bull riding gets a lot of attention, but six other events help decide the NFR world titles. Every round features a mix of riding and timed competitions, each with its own standings and prize money.
Bull Riding
Stay aboard a bucking bull for eight seconds.
Bareback Riding
Ride a bucking horse without a saddle.
Saddle Bronc Riding
A classic event where timing and control count.
Steer Wrestling
Bring down a steer in a race against the clock.
Team Roping
Two mounted competitors work together to rope a steer.
Tie-Down Roping
Catch and tie a calf as quickly as possible.
Barrel Racing
Horse and rider race around three barrels in a cloverleaf pattern, aiming for the fastest time without knocking barrels over.
NFR All-Around Champion
The title goes to the cowboy with the highest combined earnings in two or more rodeo events.
NFR Average Champions
Awarded to competitors with the best combined results across all ten rounds in each event.

The National Finals Rodeo marks the end of the PRCA season. The top 15 qualifiers in each of seven events come to Las Vegas to compete over ten rounds.
