What Is Professional Bull Riders (PBR)?
How Professional Bull Riding Works
- PBR stands for Professional Bull Riders. It's different from a typical rodeo. You won't see any roping, bronc, or barrel racing. All there is to it is bulls.
- As I said before, you just ride the bull for 8 seconds. Well, there is more to it than that. Your form and how the bull rides you determine whether you get a good ride.
- There are many tours for PBR. So you may not see the same people at each show. The World Finals give one person the title. PBR teams also have their own tour and championship.
PBR Bull Riding Rules & Scoring
The rider must stay on the bull for 8 seconds to receive a score. Points are awarded to the rider and the bull. They can add up to a total score of 100. If you get bucked off, there is no score. Riders will compete against each other for the highest points and ranking, depending on the tour rules.
