Missouri Rodeos have their origins in Missouri’s farming history and Westward regional influences. Many rodeos in Missouri are professional PRCA-sanctioned events. Other rodeos range from regional competitions to local non-profit events held at county fairs and annual celebrations.
Missouri’s rodeo season is most active May through September, with several weekend-long summer rodeos that bring contestants and fans from surrounding Midwest states. There are also several long-standing events statewide that continue to contribute to the regional circuit.
